John douses the top of their house with a garden hose as the wall of fire aproaches, Christen his wife didn't understand the bravery and was huddled in the basement with her children.  Suddenly, John opens the basement door and yells, "it's gone!" As John steps into the light Christen screams as she sees Johns singed hair and redened face.  "I'm OK, now come outside and help me put out a brush fire."

As Ignez fought the crowd looking for her familly in front of the giant Jesus suddenly she stopped hearing "Get thee in front of Me Ignez" spoken speak clearly and urgently into her heart.  Not being one for half measures, Ingez dove through the crowd and into Christ's shadow on hands and knees.  About ten seconds later the mountain of fire hit.  She could see flames licking around the giant 130 foot tall Christ the Redeemer statue.  As she watched in horror the flames coming from the direction the sun in what had been a long bright summer day of spoiled by a surrealistic combination of earth quakes and tsunamis. The convex flame licked all the way to the top of Jesus in about 5 minutes leaveing plenty of carbonized soap stone behind.  When it was all over, there was Jesus, arms outstretched protecting those in his shadow.  There were so many hurt people Ignez can't remember anything except the blacked rear of Jesus, arms outstretched. As the wall of fire moved west people who were still concious or  not out of their mind in pain watched in stunned horror.  "This is just like the Bible says, 'fire going from east to west'" Rabbi Moshe Touro said out loud in the excitement forgetting his small congregation would realize he had been studying the New Testament as they stood in the shadow of the 700 foot tall mountain.

"Maybe the Pheonix islands will rise from the ashes" Bob said. He and his wife Lilly were on thier honey moon.  Now in the airport before a map and cable news Bob was cracking jokes.  Lilly pinched his cheek, "stop it! They are dying, don't you know this isn't funny," Lilly chided Bob.  "Look here, right now it is hitting the Cook Islands!" Bob said with a flurry frat house humor.

 

Mount Elias Alaska 11 AM 22 December 2012

 

"This is blue fox to Ranger one," radio static, "Blue fox to ranger one, we have fire burning down the glacier on top of Mount Elias at a rapid rate.  We have both a mud slides and fires simultaneously.  It seems like something cosmic, and I don't know if you are seeing what I am, but the Aurora Borealis is going crazy like never before and the fire seems to be blocked by the curve of the earth."

 

Hawaii 11 AM 22 December 2012

 

"Somebody make a joke," Peter said as his mom, dad, bothers and siters climbed into the taxi.  "Take us to the Hospital" the mother screamed.  They all had serious burns from the mountain of fire that had made a glanceing blow on Hawaiii.  Snarled in traffic, the driver could barely see because of the fog from the rapidly evaporateing ocean.

"Look, Florida is gone, you guys are going to have to be the ones to tell the president it hit," an agitated voice said throush the reciever to Astronaut James T. Jones, .  "Yeah, like the privilage of telling everyone Lincoln is dead," Jones intoned as he hung up the phone.

Fenwick) "The Dragon has landed." (Voice of Jones) "Captain Jones, you can call the President now." ....Dialing sounds..."Hello, hello, Mr. President.." Silence.  "It sure is hot in here" Col. Fenwick said.  Jones: "The black box on this, we might be famous but..."
